Terms of use

Please read these before relying on anything you see in HoldingsHaven.

1. What this service is

HoldingsHaven is a private record-keeping and planning tool. It helps you list what you own and owe, record who owns each thing, record who inherits it, track dates that matter, and produce summaries and printed binders you can share with the people who help you.

HoldingsHaven is a record-keeping and organizing tool. It is not a bank, trust company, custodian, broker-dealer, investment adviser, insurance agency, lender, money transmitter or law firm. It does not hold assets, execute transactions, move money or place insurance, and it has no access to your accounts.

HoldingsHaven is a personal organization and planning tool. It does not provide legal, tax, accounting or investment advice, and using it does not create an attorney-client, accountant-client or advisory relationship. Estate, titling, probate, insurance and tax rules differ by state and change over time. Always confirm your plans with a licensed attorney, CPA or registered advisor.

2. No legal, tax or financial advice

Nothing in HoldingsHaven — including checklists, suggested wording, flagged items, risk indicators, estimated probate costs, coverage observations, distribution targets, investor milestones and reports — is advice, an opinion, or a recommendation. These features are general educational prompts meant to help you ask better questions of your own attorney, CPA, insurance agent or advisor.

Using HoldingsHaven does not create an attorney-client, accountant-client, fiduciary or advisory relationship. If a professional uses HoldingsHaven with you, your relationship is with that professional, not with us.

3. Recording something here changes nothing elsewhere

Recording something in HoldingsHaven has no legal effect. Naming a beneficiary, marking a title as verified or listing an asset as held by a trust here does not change any deed, account registration or beneficiary form. Those changes must be made directly with your financial institutions, county records office and legal counsel.

3a. Which document wins

HoldingsHaven is a personal information organizer and planning workbook. It does not create, amend or replace any legal document, contract or testamentary instrument. In every circumstance your executed legal documents — wills, trusts, powers of attorney, advance healthcare directives and business operating agreements — together with the beneficiary designations filed directly with your custodians, banks and insurance carriers, legally govern and supersede any record, entry or note stored in this application. HoldingsHaven does not provide legal, tax or financial advice. Please have a qualified estate planning attorney and tax professional in your state prepare and confirm your formal plan.

Where a note, flag, heirloom entry, succession order, final wish or beneficiary line recorded in HoldingsHaven differs from an executed legal document or a designation on file with an institution, the executed document or filed designation governs, and no person named here acquires any right, interest or expectation by reason of the entry. Entries are a personal inventory and preparation aid only.

4. Your information

Values, ownership shares, titling entries, beneficiary designations and dates are entered by you. HoldingsHaven does not audit, verify or certify the accuracy or legal validity of anything you enter, and it does not verify or certify accredited investor status.

Please do not enter bank or brokerage passwords, PINs, full account numbers, Social Security numbers or other government identification numbers anywhere in HoldingsHaven. This also means cryptocurrency seed phrases, recovery phrases and private keys — never type those here. For digital assets, record only what exists, the wallet or exchange it is held with, where the device or written backup is kept, and who to contact. The app is designed to work with institution names, nicknames, values and dates, and never needs those details.

You are responsible for keeping your records accurate and current, for keeping your sign-in details private, and for deciding who you invite to see your records.

5. Estimates and calculations

Net worth, ownership percentages, probate cost ranges, insurance gaps, investment returns, charitable distribution targets and tax dates are calculated from what you enter, using general assumptions and simplified rules. They may be wrong for your situation. Treat every number as a starting point for a conversation with a licensed professional, not as a conclusion.

Calculators and projections — compound growth, Rule of 72, note amortization, loan and interest schedules, policy comparisons, cash-value projections and expected-versus-actual distribution tracking — are simplified educational models based on the figures you enter. They are not insurance illustrations, lending terms, tax computations or predictions of investment performance. Rates published by the IRS and figures shown on carrier or sponsor statements always control over anything shown here.

6. Investor status and self-attestation

Accreditation and investor milestones, income ranges, two-year consistency notes and sophisticated-investor self-attestations are your own self-assessment for personal planning. They are not verification, certification or a third-party letter, and no issuer, sponsor or platform should treat them as confirmation of accredited investor, qualified client or qualified purchaser status. Formal verification must come from your CPA, attorney or a qualified verification service.

7. Reminders, deadlines and the upcoming-dates schedule

Renewal reminders, filing deadlines, K-1 tracking and the upcoming-dates schedule are conveniences built from dates you enter and general due-date rules. They are not a guarantee of notice. HoldingsHaven does not renew a policy, file a return or make a payment on your behalf, and missed dates remain your responsibility and your professionals'.

8. Insurance, policies and family loans

Policy values, premiums, cash values, carrier loans and loans between family members are recorded and modelled from figures you enter. HoldingsHaven does not place, bind, underwrite, service or renew insurance, does not originate or service loans, and is not a party to any policy or note. Carrier statements, policy documents, loan agreements and published IRS rates always control.

9. Shared access, binders and exports

When you invite a family member or a professional, or print, export or share a binder or report, you are responsible for what you disclose and to whom. Printed and exported copies leave the service and are no longer protected by its access controls; store and destroy them carefully.

10. Early access

While the service is in early access, features may appear, change or be withdrawn, and availability is not guaranteed. Keep your own exported copies of anything you rely on.

11. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service: no unlawful use, no attempt to access another person's records, and no reselling or redistributing the software or its outputs as your own product without written permission.

You may not, and may not help anyone else: (a) reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or attempt to derive the source code, data structures, scoring rules or underlying logic of the service; (b) scrape, crawl, bulk-download or systematically extract screens, templates, checklists, wording, report layouts or workflows by automated or manual means; (c) use the service, its content or its outputs to train, test or improve any artificial intelligence or machine learning model; or (d) get around access limits, rate limits or security controls.

You may not access or use the service to build, design or improve a competing product or service, to copy its features, functions, workflows or look and feel, or to benchmark it for a competitor, without our prior written permission. People who work for or on behalf of a competing product may not open an account without that permission.

12. Ownership of the service

The software, design, wording, checklists, diagnostic prompts, templates, report and binder layouts, visual workflows, and the selection, structure, sequence and organization of the service are owned by HoldingsHaven and protected by copyright, trademark, trade secret and other laws. HoldingsHaven and its logo are our trademarks and may not be used without written permission. All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved.

You keep ownership of the information you enter. You grant us only the permission needed to store, process and display your information so the service can work for you. If you send us suggestions or feedback, we may use them freely without obligation to you.

If you breach section 11 or this section, we may suspend or close your account immediately without refund, and we may seek an injunction or other relief available by law in addition to any other remedy.

13. Availability and changes

The service is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. Features may change, and access may be interrupted for maintenance or reasons outside our control. Keep your own copies of anything important; exports to PDF and Excel are available throughout the app.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, lost data, tax penalties, missed deadlines, lapsed coverage, probate costs, uninsured claims, investment losses or planning outcomes arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

15. Professionals using this with clients

If you are an attorney, CPA, insurance agent or investment adviser using HoldingsHaven with clients, you remain solely responsible for your own professional, licensing, fiduciary and regulatory obligations, for the advice you give, and for the accuracy of anything you share with your clients. HoldingsHaven is software you use in your practice, not a supervisor, co-adviser or compliance service.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
